Good news and bad news...the bad news was obviously today had pretty much zero gain potential and was just a freefall straight down.
The good news was MLGT couldn't have been an easier to spot loser. Everyone should have been able to tell this one was one to avoid or abandon by 9:32am EST, 2 minutes after the open.
(Just my personal biased amateur opinion, as are all the other trading ideas I say below.)
You guys know how my real winning alerts trade. They may be wild and volatile and move up and down very rapidly, but they NEVER go red on Day 1. If anything ever goes red the day I alert it...obviously it's a total dud and has to be avoided or losses cut immediately.
In today's MLGT alert I said:
"Keep in mind these momentum plays are ALL about momentum, so they could crash at any time if momentum dies. That means to watch closely, and trade carefully."
...as well as:
"However, any play that's already made a decent move up requires extra caution and monitoring to make sure momentum stays strong...so remember your personal trading rules."
Now let's see how clearly and quickly MLGT showed us that momentum was dead.
Let's look at the chart:
This is a 1 minute chart. You can see MLGT never moved up for more than a few seconds. When I said the play was ALL about momentum, and there clearly was none...this is something to avoid. Remember you should NEVER buy a stock just because I alert it. If it's a momentum alert and you see there is no momentum, you should know (or learn right now) not to buy it.
Or if you do jump on it, which happens when traders rush to buy at the open, as SOON as it goes red...you should know (or learn right now) that now something is 100% for sure wrong and it's time to bail out and minimize the damage.
So if you got in at 9:31 at let's say .35, by 9:32 the stock was red. If you traded cautiously and decided to get out right then, you would have only taken a very small hit.
When we're dealing with the kinds of companies that can go up in value 1,000% or more in a day or two, you're going to encounter ones that crash as well. I believe that if you trade carefully and keep your losers small, with how big the winners are and how we're lucky enough to have so many of them...the math really works out to huge profits.
However, MLGT was clearly a dud, and I do greatly apologize any time I bring out something that's a loser. Sorry about this one.
No more momentum plays that are already up too much! I'm going back to the bargain basement baby!
Now I'm going to dig and dig and I PROMISE I will not come back until I have something that is the exact same kind of setup that has been delivering us those monster recent gains? I'm gonna get back to the low float, tiny market cap, low priced exploders that we've been making huge profits from all summer.
I'll be back to redeem myself with something that's all about YOU making huge profits.
Sorry for the dud, but I'll be back with something to get a brand new hot streak started very soon.
Until then,
