In November 2012, ABBY entered into an agreement to option the participation in the drilling of oil and/or gas wells on six adjoining parcels of land in Richardson County, Nebraska, that encompass more-than 2100 acres, which are referred to as the State Line Prospect in an independent geological report. The first parcel, known as the Rose Dome property, was exercised under the option agreement in November 2012. Richardson County, Nebraska Oil Fields is three miles south of the active Dawson oil field in Richardson County, Nebraska. The south line of the prospect is the Kansas/Nebraska State Line. The proposed drill site will evaluate all formations that produce in the nearby Dawson oil field, including the deeper St Peter sandstone.
State Line prospect is fault bound on the north and east. The prospect is on trend with the Dawson oil field, which has produced 2,000,000 barrels of oil, and the McClain oil field (10 miles to the south), which has produced 3,500,000 barrels of oil. The State Line prospect holds the potential for a similar multi-million barrel discovery, based on the independent geologist who prepared the initial report for the lease holder, Black Star 231 Corporation. The State Line prospect has two oil wells that produce from the target St Peter sandstone (ss) on the south edge of the prospect, and a well drilled in 1933 that recorded good oil shows in the St Peter ss on the north edge of the prospect. These three wells make an important contribution to the geologic interpretation of the State Line prospect, according to the geological report.
This project puts ABBY in position to be a potential producer in an area where they are likely to strike some major discoveries!
