History of Hollund Industrial Marine Inc.

HIMR went public in November of 2007 through a reverse merger. The Company was formed to leverage the management team's 40-plus years of experience and expertise in order to meet growing demand for hi-tech industrial equipment solutions and infrastructure related project services worldwide.

In February of 2008, Hollund acquired the exclusive patents to TigerLynk Technology. In July of 2008, the Company changed its name from Hollund Industrial, Inc. to Hollund Industrial Marine Inc. to reflect the new business focus. HIMR is currently developing the new TigerLynk AR-120 Machine with plans for a major product debut.

How Tigerlynk Works

The Basics

Like countless other innovations from the past, TigerLynk machinery is designed to take something dangerous and difficult for humans to perform and make it safe, fast and easy. The heart of a TigerLynk machine is the Underwater Remote Manipulator System (URMS), or Arm.

The Arm is a remotely controlled payload-managing device with nine degrees-of-freedom. The Arm's basic structure allows it to articulate much like the human arm. The Arm is comprised of five segments, or booms that are connected by successive joints. Linear hydraulic actuators drive the joints and provide articulation in the arm. Each boom is varying in length, roughly two feet in diameter, and constructed from reinforced steel. A number of specialized tools can be attached to the end of the Arm, each enabling you to perform a unique operation (cutting, welding, drilling, etc.).

The Arm is mounted on a vessel or platform, where it can be deployed underwater and controlled by the operator. The Arm is controlled using interfaces with the machines industrial computer system. Two hand controllers are used to work the Arm. The system software detects the commanded inputs and calculates which joints to move, what direction to move them in, how fast to move them, and what angle to move. The Manipulator's control system also provides a continuous display of the movement of the Arm and tool functions, which are displayed to the operator via monitors and panels located in the main console. The computer interface is not required to work the Arm. However, when the Arm is operated in this manner it requires the operator to operate each joint individually and requires more time to affect the desired motion.

A high-definition closed circuit television camera is mounted on the last joint of the Arm with the End Effector (Tool) in constant wide-angle view. This provides viewing in the console via High-Definition monitor. Halogen lighting and purge systems illuminate the underwater terrain and clear debris and small particles from the field of view, enabling the operator to work safely in most challenging environments.

Tigerlynk Robotic Manipulator

At the heart of TigerLynk machinery is our patented Robotic Manipulator Technology. Featuring breakthrough large-scale robotics, TigerLynk Manipulators can enable you to fully manage objects the size of cars and trucks, rotate objects nearly 360 degrees, and work in a stationary envelope roughly equal to 1/3 the size of a NFL football field.

Reinforced steel construction and successive joint work strengthen payload capacity and provide full articulation of (X, Y and Z) movement.

TigerLynk Manipulators can be mounted on a host of vessels, barges, platforms and jackup rigs for seamless integration into existing operations.

Multi-hydraulic circuitry is designed to accommodate a variety of custom and after-market tools.

All TigerLynk machines have integrated TigerView, our innovative underwater vision system. TigerView employs an array of sophisticated technologies to significantly enhance the field-of-view (FOV), even under most turbid conditions.
