An emerging field is the creation of intelligent software “avatars” that are near-human in their functionality and appearance.
3) Web-based commerce and resource access. In the future each of us will be able to obtain information and resources and engage in web commerce via intelligent “avatars” that serve as our concierge. They will learn our preferences and act independently to assist us.
4) Big data (link) fusion. Our ability to obtain resources using intelligent avatars will be governed by the evolution of technology that assesses where things can be found, how they may be obtained and how to bring them to us.
5) Geo-targeted social intelligence. It is possible for us to listen to
what is being said on the web via social discourse, assess where it’s coming from as well as its meaning, and secure additional information that adds strategic value (via link fusion).
Now while some of that may sound confusing, it does sound like the way the future is unfolding right before our very eyes.
